Sited within the vast deserts and ruins of lost cities in the playstation game “Journey”, the objective of the studio was to once again breath new life into the remains of these cities.
Students designed skyscrapers and drew the landscapes of the game and were then asked to re-inhabit the cities. Placing their skyscrapers amongst the ruins, each city was to be unique with its own atmospheres and personality. Much like Calvino’s “Invisible Cities”.
Once the city was planned, students were asked to locate a space within their skyscrapers and design it. The programme and concept for the space was to reflect the atmospheres and the needs of the city. The space of the game.
